How To Apply

Always take your time and plan what you are going to do before you start.

Fitting should be carried out indoors at room temperature where possible.  Cold weather can impair the adhesive from sticking and if it is too warm it can stick too quickly and be difficult to lift if you need to correct a mistake.  If you can’t fit indoors the minimum conditions are to find somewhere dry and sheltered. Having someone available to help when you do this job is recommended, especially when working with pieces of vinyl longer than a meter.
These fitting instructions describe the process and tools required to fit BOOGOGO stickers and stripes using the Wet Method.

We recommend you wait at least 48 hours to let the adhesive take hold and longer if the outside temperature is low before washing your car.

Required Tools

•    Scissors or Scalpel with new blade
•    Measuring tape
•    Spray bottle with water
•    Masking tape
•    Squeegee [flexible tool like a heavy credit card]

Optional Tools

The following tools will make the fitting job easier but are not absolutely required to fit your graphics.

•    Spirit level
•    Metal rule
•    Kitchen paper

STICKERS

Carefully unpack your stickers and lay them out on a flat surface to familiarise yourself with them.

1.    Thoroughly clean the area of the car the stickers will be applied to taking care to remove any tar spots as they will show through the vinyl as small lumps
2.    Some stickers are supplied already laid out in position, but if necessary, cut out the individual stickers using the scalpel [or scissors] to fit bonnet, roof, doors etc. making sure you know where all the stickers are to be applied before starting.
3.    Mark the area the stickers are to be applied to using the masking tape.
4.    Soak the area you are applying the sticker to, with water from the spray.
5.    Lay out the sticker on a large hard smooth surface with the stiff white backing face up. Give the backing a firm rub down with an old credit card or squeegie then carefully remove the stiff white backing from the sticker. Make sure that the sticker remains in tact on the soft sticky application tape. If the sticker does not stay on the tape, rub over the stiff backing again.
6.    Now spray the sticky surface on the back of the sticker.
7.    Gently position the sticker on the car, lining it up with the masking tape guides and adjust as necessary until in the desired position.
8.    Hold in place with two small pieces of masking tape at each top corner.Wrap the squeegee with a sheet of kitchen paper and start to squeeze the water out from under the vinyl.  This should be done firmly but not forcefully as too much pressure can buckle or stretch the sticker. Repeat until all the stickers have been applied
9.    Leave for 1-2 hours until the stickers are completely stuck to   the surface and then remove the application tape.
10.    Check for bubbles and if any are found, pop with a pin or the tip of a new scalpel blade then squeegee the water out.

We recommend you wait at least 48 hours to let the adhesive take hold and longer if the outside temperature is low before washing your car.
